August is the most popular month to get married, and understandably so in England where the weather is most changeable, one hopes to be able rely on some sunshine! My dear friend Camilla got married in Chelsea and Dorset (yes two ceremonies!) and I had the pleasure of doing her makeup for both. I used virtually only natural makeup products to give her a flawless, natural, radiant finish!
These photos are from the London event. I started by prepping the skin well with a facial massage of Inika’s rosehip oil onto clean skin, this gives a lovely, moisturised surface on which to apply your makeup and relaxes the bride! After letting that settle in for a while, I then applied the Inika primer. I used a small amount of Pacifica BB cream which has a highlighting glow to it just to the cheekbones, and a little on the forehead. I then used Organic Pharmacy natural glow tinted moisturiser all over the face and blended it down the neck. I concealed where necessary. I used Neal’s Yard eyeshadows to shape the eyes and Lavera’s liquid black eyeliner. I used a Benecos powder blush trio ‘Fall in Love’ which I thought appropriate! To set the look I used a translucent Lavera powder and on the T-zone Inika setting powder which has a stronger mattifying effect. On the lips I first used an Etnia lip pencil to define the lips in a neutral shade then Benecos ‘Pink Honey’ lipstick which is a pinky-brown colour, it just dresses the lips and makes them look done rather than bare, but the colour is very understated and close to the natural lip colour.
So the look was barely-there makeup, but just enough to look polished and let her natural beauty shine through!
